They do not become complacent with what is easy, and instead strive for what is right. A true Husker shows citizenship. They are active members on the campus and in the community while they develop global citizenship through knowledge, action and service. They do not hesitate to stand up for what they believe in. A true Husker shows dependability. They follow through on their responsibilities personally, academically and professionally. They do not allow others to abandon their moral obligations. A true Husker shows caring. They take an active role in the lives of others, and show genuine interest in their wellbeing. They are determined to remain inclusive and show kindness when dealing with people from all walks of life. They do not allow others to suffer in silence, they speak up when they hear or see something that is inappropriate or discriminatory and they willingly intervene when someone is in need of help.
