Parents can attend to learn firsthand from another parent how important it is to have difficult, supportive conversations with your student around hard topics such as mental health, managing competing expectations, and alcohol and drug use. Two sessions will be offered from 2-3 p.m. or 4-5 p.m. Mrs. Mary Weakland, a parent and national speaker on college student mental health, has joined Nebraska’s JED Campus team to support mental health, suicide prevention, and alcohol and other drug prevention efforts.
