Become a Transcribe Volunteer

We invite University of Nebraska alumni, students, and friends to help transcribe digitized text documents to provide greater, and easier, access to them through full-text searching. Thank you to all those who have transcribed documents so far! We greatly appreciate everyone's valuable contribution to preserving historical records, information, and the stories we share that are significant to the University, the state, and our history.

Select a Collection & Transcribe!

Select from any one of our online collections. Transcribe as a guest or Sign up for an account. An account will help you keep track of your transcriptions, and help us acknowledge your valuable contributions to this project. Read and Search already transcribed Cornhusker yearbooks and annuals.

The transcription projects include materials related to Buffalo Bill Cody, letters and publications associated with the history of the University of Nebraska, by University faculty whose research and experience focused on Nebraska state history, and selected letters written by Nebraska soldiers during World War I and II. New documents from the Archives & Special Collections and the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities (CDRH) will be added as future projects.
