Experience the richly diverse culture of Brazil. First you will touch down in Porto Alegre one of the most economically advanced cities in Brazil. Initially settled by European farmers and today it is home to over 8 million people. Then you will travel to the tropical southeastern coast, of Florianopolis where you will experience the costal culture of picturesque Brazil. During this trip we will spend time in the city, the country and the coast.
Experience Brazil
Spend time on a tropical island, attend a soccer match, get to know Brazilian culture, form friendships with students in another country, visit the gaucho and tropical regions of Brazil. You can do all this all while earning UNL credits.
Learn Something New
You’ll study the role of family in Brazilian culture, Brazilian etiquette, basic Portuguese phrases, the culture of dating in Brazil, and parent/child relationships. You’ll also discover how amazing Brazilian BBQ is!
Do Something Fun
Drs. Paul Springer and Cody Hollist will take you to the most economically advanced city in Brazil, Porto Alegre. You will then go up the southeastern coast, where you’ll spend time in Florianopolis, an island city, getting to know the tropical culture Brazil is known for.
