Family Weekend

SEPTEMBER 27-29, 2024

FAMILY WEEKEND

Participants from 2023 Family Weekend at family picnic

Reasons to Participate

1.

Make new memories with your student.

2.

Meet other Husker families.

3.

Learn more about the university – and your student's experience!

This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your student once they have gone off to college. Your student will have been at the university long enough to tell you how things are going, what classes are like, and update you on new friends. We encourage you to catch up, participate in fun activities, meet other Husker families and create memories together. Please note that some of these events require registration.

All family members are invited to participate in activities.

Lodging

Hotel room blocks have been arranged at local hotels near the Lincoln airport, in the Haymarket, as well as in Downtown Lincoln. A limited number of on-campus accommodations are available in Selleck Hall (a traditional-style hall with community bathrooms on each floor). To access the special Family Weekend rates, you must pre-register to participate in Family Weekend. There is no pre-registration fee. Your confirmation email will provide you with lodging information and links to reserve rooms. Please note that hotel rooms may have booking deadlines to secure discounted university rates. Hotel room availability is not guaranteed, so please reserve your room early.

Parking

Garage parking at Stadium Drive or 17th & R is available on Saturday and Sunday at no charge. Individuals driving to campus will find a variety of paid parking options also available for visitor use. View all visitor parking options. Guests staying nearby will find that many hotels are within walking distance of campus.
