Munier elected chair for national student aid administrators

Craig Munier, director of the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, was elected to serve as national chair of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators for 2013-14. He will also serve as national chair-elect for 2012-13.

NASFAA is a nonprofit membership organization representing more than 20,000 student financial aid professionals at nearly 3,000 colleges, universities, and career schools across the country. NASFAA is the largest postsecondary education association with institutional membership in Washington, D.C., and the only national association with a primary focus on student aid legislation, regulatory analysis, and training for financial aid administrators.

Munier has worked in student financial aid administration since 1982 at three major national, research-extensive universities. He has worked in higher education since 1976. Munier has also served as national chair of the National Direct Student Loan Coalition and the Coalition of State University Aid Administrators. He has been the director at UNL since 1998.
