Event Description

Join us for Navigating Change for Small Businesses on Thursday, June 25, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. as we will discuss the change process and how it drastically affects people. The human element in change management receives the least amount of attention. It is imperative to know and understand the cognitive process we go through during change. Participants will leave this training with an understanding of change management, thus empowering them to better handle the rapid changes occurring in our environment today. This presentation is part of a Business Learning Series hosted by Umeda Islamova, UNL Center for Entrepreneurship. If you would like to be notified of future events, please email umeda@unl.edu.

About the presenter:

Steph Vanous has a passion for developing people to enhance cultural performance. As the director of consulting, she impacted more than 15,000 people through technical and soft skill training programs. Having worked in the human resources field for nearly 15 years, she developed and maintained several human resources initiatives. During this time, she helped companies significantly improve the quality of their organization through people and helped companies implement new human resource processes to improve innovation, engagement, profit and loss, and process improvement.

Vanous spends the majority of her time working with performance management, talent management, leadership development and delivering team-building solutions. Steph is skilled at not only facilitating leadership development sessions but developing evidence-based custom content for each client. Steph also leads efforts to help identify ways to create a better workforce within human resource teams. This approach leads human resource teams to position themselves as a vital part of an organization versus a necessity.
