The overall goal of this program is to assist universities and colleges in diversifying the nation's science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) workforce by increasing the number of STEM baccalaureate and graduate degrees awarded to populations historically underrepresented in these disciplines. 


Bridges to STEM Graduate Degrees in National Priorities (BD Master's) and STEM Networking Incentives and Engagement proposals are due June 24, 2024

BD Master's, Alliance Development Grants, Bridge-to-the-Baccalaureate Alliances, STEM Pathways Implementation-Only Alliances, STEM Pathways Research Alliances, and Bridges to STEM Graduate Degrees in National Priorities proposals are due November 15, 2024

Institutions may submit one proposal per project type. When completing an internal notification of intent to submit, please indicate the project type you are interested in pursuing.

The NSF Regional Innovation Engines program creates regional-scale, technology-driven, inclusive innovation ecosystems throughout the United States by accelerating key technologies; addressing regional, national, societal, and/or geostrategic challenges; driving economic growth; creating and retaining quality jobs; expanding equitable pathways into careers; and strengthening national competitiveness and security. 


A required Letter of Intent is due to NSF by June 18, 2024. Preliminary proposals are due August 6, 2024 and full proposals are due February 11, 2025.

An organization may submit no more than one Letter of Intent, one preliminary proposal, and one full proposal in response to this solicitation as the lead organization.

The purpose of this opportunity is to fund model demonstration projects designed to develop, implement, refine, evaluate, and disseminate, for easy adoption, new or substantially improved model strategies or programs to transition youth and adults with disabilities to competitive integrated employment in any one of five topic areas, or a sixth topic, for field-initiated topic areas that includes the opportunity to address more than one topic.
