Don't Wait—File Your FAFSA Form
You and your family can now file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Form with your 2022 tax information. The FAFSA Form is your key to scholarships, grants and other forms of aid. While the FAFSA Form priority deadline is May 15, financial aid is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to file as soon as possible. Students who qualify for the Nebraska Promise have until June 1. The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Federal School Code is 002565.
The U.S. Department of Education announced institutions will begin receiving batches of FAFSA information in the first half of March. Once the information is received, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is committed to quickly processing aid and notifying students and families to assist in financial planning.
Based on information provided from the U.S. Department of Education, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln plans to send financial aid notifications to incoming undergraduate students who submitted the FAFSA Form in April. The fall application for admission, enrollment deposit and FAFSA priority date for incoming undergraduate students is May 15.
