Hi — we're Orkest! A nonprofit startup (incorporation in progress) by Sapphire Skye Toth and Michael Gehman, we curate and showcase concerts of New Music of emerging composers in coffee shops, libraries, and other community spaces.

We offer a diverse, intimate setting for emerging composers to showcase unpublished works, creating a casual atmosphere that defies classical traditions. Orkest stands out in a crowded market by connecting communities with new music and prioritizing equitable treatment of artists.

We're running this campaign with the goal of raising $5,000 to help us pay the venue fees for our upcoming concert series — our first concert series! We learned a lot from our pilot concert last March and we're excited to expand into a pilot series to help us gather more data and make Orkest everything that it can be. This will be a series of 5 concerts in The Greater Boston Area, each featuring 4-5 emerging musicians' unpublished works to help them grow their careers.
