Six-lane state-of-the-art bowling and entertainment facility, located on the first floor of Nebraska East Union. A fun and energetic space for students and the community to enjoy casual and competitive bowling. Also, the home of the Nebraska Women’s Bowling team.

Hours

The bowling center is open during the fall and spring semesters only.

  • Closed for University holidays, winter break, and summer sessions.

Private Parties

Policies and Charges

Private party reservations allows a group to have exclusive use of the bowling center and is dependent upon Nebraska East Union staff availability. Parties are limited to a maximum of 40 guests.

Rates for 0-2 hours:
  • UNL Recognized Student Organization: $150
  • Valid UNL ID: $200
  • Public: $300

Additional hours: $75 per hour

No cash transactions. Payments are with credit/debit card, check, SOFS account (RSOs) or Cost Object Number (UNL Department) only.

Additional charges will be applied when the private party is held outside the regular operating hours of the Nebraska East Union .

Arrangements can be made by contacting Nebraska Unions Reservations nebraskareservations@unl.edu from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Inclement Weather

If the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is closed, Husker Bowling Center and the Nebraska East Union are closed, too. All scheduled events in the Nebraska Unions will be cancelled. Refer to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s website for re-opening information.

Additional Charges

Early Building Opening or Late Building Closing: $50 per hour

Special Building Opening: $250 for 5 hours, $50 per hour for each additional hour

Excessive Cleaning Fee: $25 per hour/$50 minimum (see below)

Damaged/Stolen Items: Various – Direct Replacement Cost

Violation of Food/Beverage Policy: $100

Excessive Cleaning Fee

It is the reserving group’s responsibility to ensure the space they reserve is returned reasonably clean and as close as possible to the original room configuration as they found it. If spaces are left unreasonably dirty or not returned to the same condition, they will be charged an excessive cleaning fee of $25 per hour with a $50 minimum charge.

Catering and Food Policy

All events, regardless of their group affiliation, wishing to have food and/or beverages must order through University Catering (unlcatering@unl.edu, 402-472-8161). No outside food/beverages will be allowed, except for a birthday cake from an Approved Food Provider.

Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) must complete an Event Planning Registration (EPR).

Event Signage & Directional Signage

Posting of event or directional signage throughout the building is only permitted with prior approval from the Husker Bowling Center's manager.

Daily Lane Reservations & Prices

UNL Students

Reserve Lanes Now

Bowling is FREE for UNL students during regular open hours. Shoe rental is included.
Maximum 6 bowlers per lane. Groups with 4 or less people are limited to one lane.

UNL students can reserve lanes online for up to six bowlers. Walk-in visits are welcome, yet priority is given to reservations and private parties.

General Public
  • Individuals: $5 per game
  • Groups, up to 6 indivduals: $24 per hour per lane

No cash transactions – payments are with credit/debit card or check only. Fees include shoe rental. Maximum 6 bowlers per lane. Groups with 4 or less people are limited to one lane.

Parking

Both meters and UNL Permit parking are available in the north parking lot adjacent to the Nebraska East Union. Community groups wanting to purchase a parking pass can make arrangements with UNL Parking and Transit Services by calling 402-472-1800 or visiting http://parking.unl.edu/.
