About Open Studio
- Spring is the season of life expanding. This virtual open studio has emerged during a time of disruption to our Spring curriculum here at UNL; this is a showcase of resilience and problem-solving, of artists creating opportunity and fuel from the energy of limitation.
- Understand this event as a visit to the artist’s production room before the full project has come to fruition—a future unfolding at the Cason Center for Emerging Media Arts. This is an intimate space to witness the creative process leading to future worlds. The artist is present in each room with you, feel free to say hello, ask questions, share your experience -- this is a studio visit after all.
- Each room is unique, developed by each student as an emergent gallery space -- exhibiting a story forming in front of and around us. Feel free to get lost within their expression. Expect to find storyboards, scripts, previsualizations, diversions into playful animated worlds, playing in sidebars, and site-specific architectural worlds that both exhibit the work in process while exemplifying the content itself.
- The student work exhibited here is from three Carson Center foundation classes from Spring 2020 and are represented here in 29 unique installations

- Right click on images and videos in room to full screen them
- Audio is spatialized meaning that you can only hear when you are in proximity to people or players
- Once you are ready to go to another room, return to the index of rooms or select the image of the Carson Center to return to the main lobby.
