The Soil Health School held on August 1-2 at the Haskell Ag Lab had an attendance of approximately 45. Presentations were given by UNL personnel, NRCS, and Soil Health Nexus.
Family Field Day 2023
The Haskell Ag Lab Science & Ag Family Field Day was again a success with 400 attendees. Attendees ranged in age from 3 to 65+. Events enjoyed by those that attended included Northeast Power demonstrations, silage and grain bin safety, presentations on Land Values & Cash Rents for 2023, Water Quality, Heifer Development Project and Backyard Farmer panel. Many also enjoyed the various research and arboretum tours offered. In addition, attendees of all ages enjoyed the Mobile Beef Lab, Science Literacy Trailer, Precision Ag, Shooting Sports, and Archery trailers as well as numerous other vendors. Children enjoyed STEM/Reading Imagination and other activities offered. The committee would like to thank everyone for attending and hope to see you next year.

Northeast Nebraska Research Project

Our next Coffee & Conversations will be on Tuesday, September 12th at 9 AM. Guest speakers from Providence Medical Center in Wayne will present on their recent renovations and additions as well as talk about services provided at the hospital. Please mark your calendars for September 12th for Coffee & Conversations. Invite other family and friends to attend with you.
UPCOMING EVENTS
Fall Fest will be held at the Haskell Ag Lab on Saturday, September 23rd from 1 to 4 PM. This event is open to the public with activities for both young and old. The committee is busy making plans for this event. Tentative plans include composting, fall gardening, food, activities for children, and more.
