International students and faculty holding their country's flags

From students to alumni, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Nebraska Alumni Association are proud to have a global family of 200,000+ Huskers living around the world.

Every November, Nebraska celebrates International Education Week, a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education to highlight the value of experiencing new cultures and preparing future leaders for today’s interconnected world. This year, IEW at UNL is expanding to a month-long celebration from November 1 to 24 to further elevate the plethora of global experiences available to students.

The Alumni Association is excited to partner with the Office of Global Partnerships & Initiatives to host the Global Virtual Alumni IEW Parade this year! As members of our global Husker family, you all have valuable and important experiences in international education – whether it’s your story as an international student at UNL, an expat working in another country or a professional working in a global context here in the U.S.

We invite you to join us in IEW celebrations by sharing a photo, a little bit about your story and why international education is important for today’s future leaders.

You can check out the full schedule of IEW events at go.unl.edu/iew2021 or join the conversation online with #IEW2021 and #IEWatUNL.
