MAKING THEIR SAFETY A PRIORITY

With your student away at college, it's important to know that they will be safe. When they're living on campus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, you can be sure that they will be. From your student's well-being, to residence hall and campus security measures and the campus alert system, they are surrounded by a safe, secure environment.

  • The health and well-being of our students living on campus is our priority
  • Residence Life support staff are there to help students whenever they need it
  • All halls are locked 24/7 and can only be accessed by those with NCard credentials
  • Community service officers monitor residence halls to assure campus safety and security
  • Residence halls are close to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Police Department

WHAT THEY NEED TO SUCCEED

Living on campus means your student is just a short walk away from all the resources they need for support during the school year. Catch a cold? It's a short walk to the Health Center to pick up medication. Big test coming up? Study rooms are available in any residence hall, at the library, or see a tutor on campus.

  • Close proximity to academic support from the Writing Center to the testing center and library.
  • Quiet and collaborative study spaces in every hall
  • All students receive free bus passes so they can travel all around Lincoln
  • Many student involvement groups meet on campus so your student can grow and learn while being an active part of the community

APARTMENT LIVING WITHOUT THE STRESS

When students live on campus, there's no need to worry about all the troubles that come with off-campus living. No stressing over having time to make meals; students can opt for a meal plan which gives them reliable, healthy food every day. Instead of spending time cleaning their bathrooms or figuring out how to do repairs, the residence halls provide timely maintenance and bathroom cleaning services.

  • Students can purchase a meal plan that gives them a fresh, healthy and reliable meals, optional in apartment-style
  • Students can park in residential lots or garages in close proximity to their hall
  • Reliable Wi-Fi access
  • No stressing over monthly bills

THE NEBRASKA Residential Experience

Every student’s experience is different. At Nebraska, we are committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that help students develop, grow and thrive.

The Nebraska Residential Experience is the guiding residential program implemented in the halls by University Housing Residence Life staff.

Our goal is to develop engaging communities where residents can have transformational experiences, connect to campus resources and create relationships.

Throughout the year, hall programming is thoughtfully designed to help students grow in four key areas. We want all Huskers to Lead, Learn, Include, and Engage at Nebraska and beyond.
