Freedom of Expression & the Law presentation

Student Affairs professionals are invited to participate in the spring 2018 professional development workshop, focusing on freedom of expression in the college campus environment.

On Friday, Mar. 16, Josephine (Jo) Potuto, Richard H. Larson Professor of Constitutional Law in the Nebraska College of Law, will present on the legal intricacies of freedom of expression and academic freedom.

In her presentation, Potuto will provide a background on legal principles of the First Amendment, specifically address campus speech and the dangers of restricting speech, and discuss case studies within the realm of Student Affairs.

The presentation will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Willa Cather Complex, Red Cloud A.
