To increase connections between multicultural alumni, academic faculty and the current student body, the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of People of Color, the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center and the Nebraska Alumni Association also extend an invitation to all alumni and those in the Husker community to participate in a few special events during the upcoming homecoming weekend.

The week’s events will include a Multicultural Social on Sept. 29 at the Wick Alumni Center. This event is free, but registration is required.

In addition, the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center Hall of Fame Luncheon will be held at noon Sept. 30. The hall of fame was created to honor outstanding multicultural alumni who have made a significant impact on students, university and community. The lunch is free, but registration is required.

The Multicultural Homecoming Cocktail Mixer will both take place on Friday evening and is also free. The week’s festivities will conclude with a tailgate before the Huskers face Indiana on Oct. 1.
